Description

Creamy and cheesy jalapeno popper twists with a spicy kick, perfect for parties or movie nights.


Ingredients

  • 1 package Puff Pastry (or pizza dough for a heartier option)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened; goat cheese can be used)
  • 1 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (mozzarella can be used)
  • 2 medium Sliced Jalapenos (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (or use fresh minced garlic for more flavor)
  • 1 large Egg (for egg wash, or use milk for vegan option)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until it’s smooth and even.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Cut the pastry into strips, about 1 inch wide.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end of each strip.
  6. Twist the pastry around the cheese filling, creating fun spirals. Seal the ends to prevent the filling from spilling out.
  7. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the twists for a nice golden color.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and flaky.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
