Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a creamy tomato sauce, perfect for cozy dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add diced tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover with the sauce, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce.
