Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packages Little Smokies sausages
- 1 cup Sweet BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar or honey
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
- Optional: splash of hot sauce or crushed red pepper
Instructions
- In your slow cooker, whisk together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar or honey, ketchup, Worcestershire, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Pour the Little Smokies into the slow cooker and stir until every piece is coated.
- Set the slow cooker to low for 2 to 3 hours or high for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once the sauce is glossy and thick, switch the slow cooker to warm and serve. For a thicker sauce, crack the lid open for the last 20 minutes.
Notes
For best results, adjust the sweetness or tanginess of the sauce to your liking. Eating leftovers makes a fantastic baked potato topper.
