Description

Crock pot Little Smokies are a stress-free and flavorful party snack, simmered in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packages Little Smokies sausages
  • 1 cup Sweet BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar or honey
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • Optional: splash of hot sauce or crushed red pepper

Instructions

  1. In your slow cooker, whisk together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar or honey, ketchup, Worcestershire, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Pour the Little Smokies into the slow cooker and stir until every piece is coated.
  3. Set the slow cooker to low for 2 to 3 hours or high for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once the sauce is glossy and thick, switch the slow cooker to warm and serve. For a thicker sauce, crack the lid open for the last 20 minutes.

Notes

For best results, adjust the sweetness or tanginess of the sauce to your liking. Eating leftovers makes a fantastic baked potato topper.
