- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Place the chicken in the crockpot, season with salt and pepper, and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with cold water and stir into the sauce about 30 minutes before the chicken is done cooking.
