Description

A delicious and easy meal that fills your home with a wonderful aroma, combining tender chicken with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. Place the chicken in the crockpot, season with salt and pepper, and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
  4. Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with cold water and stir into the sauce about 30 minutes before the chicken is done cooking.
