Description

Delicious and healthy protein-packed bagels made in an air fryer, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix flour and baking powder; add a pinch of salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and add cottage cheese; mix until chunky.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 1-2 minutes until semi-smooth.
  4. Divide into 4 equal sections; roll into logs and connect ends to form bagels.
  5. Whisk egg with a splash of water; brush over bagels and sprinkle toppings.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 300°F, prepare basket, and place bagels inside.
  7. Cook for 15-17 minutes until golden brown, checking around 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftover bagels in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze them for longer storage.
